Metaverse Twining (IOIMT)
Metaverse Twining creates complete digital twin of an environment and virtually executes the processes involved. IOIMT aims to attain the same operational outcomes as in physical environment, in addition to reduction in physical resources consumption and cost savings.
- A use case of IOIMT is to conduct visual acuity tests virtually
- IOIMT utilizes Unity3D engine, Oculus Rift to create ‘Metaverse Twining’ experience of visual acuity testing
- A clinical trial is conducted on 160 subjects, jointly with Singapore Eye Research Institute
- Clinical Trials report shows the IOIMT test results are clinically acceptable
Intelligence Continuity (IOIIC)
As workforce ages, it becomes critical to capture the know-how of retiring experts. While popular AI technologies like Machine Learning has found applications in computer vision, natural language processing, etc. there are challenges in retaining specific ‘rules’ which experts have evolved over years of work. Often, only limited datasets are available for the AI algorithms to work on and that affects accuracy of outcomes. A hybirdAI approach, IOIAI, is advocated by IOI to retain and perpetuate the knowledge. By working closely with the experts, important knowledge are ‘engineered’ and relevant AI techniques are selected for integration.

On-Prem Cloud Orchestration (IOIOC)
While cloud based solutions are becoming mainstream, the on-premise approach is still relevant for various use cases, especially when solutions are long running and can incur heavier recurrent cost on the cloud. IOI works with major technology providers to provide orchestration for both On-premise and Cloud resources, i.e. IOIOC.

IOT Orchestration (IOIOT)
IoT devices are able to collect data and transmit data over network/internet without the need for human intervention. This results in automation and facilitates real-time decision making. Most legacy systems lack such capabilities though. They are either running standalone or within limited intranets. While it seems straightforward to purchase new equipment that are IoT enabled, it can be expensive or even impossible, especially when the equipment are capital intensive and have long lifespan. IOI is developing a IoT OrchesTration platform, IOIOT, that is able to connect a network of IoT devices quickly and painlessly. Such IoT devices can be retrofitted on legacy equipment and IOT empowered the legacy equipment cost effectively. IOIoT offers multiple benefits. Besides acting as a bridge for legacy equipment to communicate data, IOIoT is also able to gather additional data dimensions via setup of new IoT sensors on the legacy equipment or in the environment.

Operations Protection (IOIOP)
In many critical operational processes, resources like people, devices have to be registered and authenticated via cyber or physically, so that assets (data, equipment) can be protected via controlling and monitoring of access. IOI is filing a patent that leverages on pervasive platforms like mobile phones to enable such Process Protection, i.e. IOIPP.
- An example of IOIOP use case is to control the access of lifts
- IOIOP device is agnostic and that can be retrofitted on any lift
- IOIOP device works with mobile app cost effectively
Operations Integration (IOIOI)
Adoption of Quality Management System is important in not only satisfying customer requirements, but also attaining compliance with international standards (e.g. ISO 9000, ISO14000, ISO 17025), the recognition for offering quality products and services and the scalability to open up global markets. To accelerate the path to compliance, IOI adopts proven open source tools for document management, asset management, etc. so that upon roll out, organizations are already compliant with the required standards. This ISO Compliance suite of tools, IOIIC, are selected because they have numerous successful deployment and are also strongly supported by communities of both users and developers.
