Smart Urban Co-innovation Lab

This is a facility initiated by ESG Singapore, iMDA and CapitaLand to drive co-innovation.

We are engaged to design the lab as an open-environment pilot smart cities technologies.

We are also instrumental in the operation of lab, engaging MNCs and agencies in programmes and events (problem statement calls, cross-countries webinar).  About 80 organizations signed on to be members of the lab within one year of operation.  

I3 Precision – National University of Singapore Innovation Hub, Singapore

KOOPrime spun off i3 Precision jointly with Red Dot Ventures in 2009 and with support from Singapore National Research Foundation.  With the focus on product development, an innovation hub is setup with National University of Singapore.  Innovations are applied across the medical sector.  

HKUST – KOOPrime – Hewlett Packard TCM Genomics Research Centre, Hong Kong

Partnership is fostered with HKUST and Hewlett Packard to setup a research centre in Hong Kong.  The centre  performed genomics research on TCM.

Infectious Diseases Surveillance Laboratory, National Institute of Health, Indonesia

Partnering Tecan, IOI jointly setup a genomics screening laboratory for the Indonesia National Institute of Health (NIH).  The facility screened 250,000 subjects for potential infectious diseases hotspots across all the provinces in Indonesia.

Genomics Laboratory, Malaysia Agriculture
R&D Institute (MARDI), Malaysia

A DNA Sequencing platform was deployed to ease the equipment and data management of DNA sequencers in MARDI. 

Centre for Natural Products Research (CNPR), Singapore

CNPR was a drug discovery centre setup by Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) and EDB Singapore.  We had the opportunity to technology transfer the world largest natural product collection from UK to Singapore.  A high throughput screening software platform was developed to address the data management needs for millions of samples screened annually.
