Junior Software Support Engineer
Requirements :
- Diploma (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering / Information Technology.
- 1 to 2 years of working experience in software and application development.
- Has worked with Java, C#, .NET.
- Has worked with databases (MS SQL, MySQL).
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Good attitude and commitment.
- Able to work independently.
Responsibilities :
- Provide first line of on-site support and response to queries.
- Maintain a suite of software and databases.
- Work with users to understand and implement new requirements.
- Work with second line of support team.
Junior Hardware Support Engineer
Requirements :
- Advanced Certificate in IT services (Infrastructure Support) or equivalent course
- Communicate well in English
- Good interpersonal skills
Expertise :
- Operating Systems: Windows
- Office Software: MS Office and Open Office
- Server: Windows 2012 Server
- Network: LAN, Wan, WiFi
- Peripheral: Printer, scanner, projector
- Mobile App: Android and iOS business apps
Responsibilities :
Desktop Support
- Install/Upgrade/Troubleshoot/Support Win7, MS office and any other authorized desktop applications
- Install/Upgrade/Troubleshoot/Support local printers, computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment
- Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
- Requesting and coordinating vendor support for computers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
- Responsible to track and log all desktop related issues
- Escalate and coordinate with Helpdesk/Network vendors for issues that is not able to resolve locally
- Perform remote troubleshooting for Desktop related issues
Network & Servers
- Requesting and coordinating vendor support for Servers/Network switches
- Perform power down/up of network switches or servers as and when required
- Perform weekly backup tape change on file server
- Perform network/server connectivity and speed test as and when required
- Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, install, operate and configure network infrastructure
- Execute network specific security practices, disaster recovery procedures
Others
- Provide support on Audio Visual (e.g. projector, TVs) equipment
- Responsible for computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment inventory
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects or server maintenance after office hours (candidate will be paid accordingly)
